CETA ist die "Vorlage" für das TTIP. Im CETA wird die Freihandelszone mit Kanada geklärt. Im Vertrag heißt es:

Except as otherwise provided in this Annex, the Parties shall eliminate all customs duties on originating goods, of Chapters 1 through 97 of the Harmonized System that provide for an MFN rate of customs duty, imported from the other Party upon the date of entry into force of this Agreement. 2. For originating goods from the other Party set out in each Party’s Schedule attached to this Annex, the following staging categories apply to the elimination of customs duties by each Party pursuant to Article 5 (1): (d) duties on originating goods provided for in the items in staging category D in a Party's Schedule shall be removed in 8 equal stages beginning on the date this Agreement enters into force, and such goods shall be duty-free, effective January 1 of year 8;

Das hieße, dass ab Inkrafttreten des CETA die 10% Zoll auf Autoimport innerhalb von 8 Jahren zu gleichen Teilen sukzessive abgebaut werden. Vom TTIP wird man das gleiche erwarten können.
